SINGAPORE: An upcoming integrated development right above Tanjong Pagar MRT station is set to include Singapore's tallest building. The main tower will be 290 meters high when it is completed in 2016. It consists of 38 floors of Grade A office space, called Guoco Tower, and nearly 200 residential units. The residential units are called TP180. They start at a height of 180 meters and rise up to 290 meters. Residents and architects have both marveled at the new development, telling Bikyanews.com it should make for "an interesting" look to the city's skyline. "It is a wonder that we are doing this now, it just shows that our economy is back on track after months of fears that it was in the gutter," said architect James Pho, a Thailand native who has developed residential areas of the Southeast Asian city-state. "I hope this is a glorious structure for the world to see," he added. BN
