NAIROBI: Samsung Electronics and Strathmore University now have a joint venture to ensure that Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) program students starting May 2012 will have access to their course material through the Samsung Learning Management Solution via the Samsung Galaxy Tablets. Robert Ngeru, Business Leader at Samsung Electronics said that the Samsung E-learning solution will aid to ensure that course work material is delivered without inconveniences. “As part of our enterprise solutions development capacity, we are proud to be unveiling this one of a kind solution in Kenya's premier Business School which we trust will help raise coursework delivery efficiencies.” According to Dr Edward Mungai, Dean at Strathmore Business School, adopting E-learning is a positive move towards enhancing leaders' capacity to deal with not only local challenges, but also focus on the global level. He added, “Students who could be stuck in traffic, running late or are just unable to attend the class could log onto the portal and keep up with what is being taught in real time.” Robert Ngeru added that with time, Samsung will look into extending the model to other major universities in Kenya. “The technology will help raise coursework delivery efficiencies and we are also looking at extending this to other universities in the country and the region.”
