Cairo (dpa) – At least five people were killed Monday when a suicide bomber blew himself near the Interior Ministry in central Baghdad, medical sources said Monday. The explosion in the Bab al-Sharji neighborhood also wounded 27 others, they said. On Thursday, a series of explosions killed dozens of people in the capital. Iraq has been gripped by political dispute after an arrest warrant was issued against the Sunni Arab Vice President Tarek al-Hashemi on charges that he was behind terrorist attacks, which he denies.
