Topping the list for the world's most livable city was Melbourne, Australia beating out Vancouver, which had enjoyed the top spot since 2002. The ranking comes from the Economist Intelligence Unit's annual 140-city Global Liveability Survey. Other Australian cities in the top 10 included Sydney in sixth place, Perth in eighth and Adelaide in ninth.
