Egypt have been offered a friendly game in the UAE or Morocco on 6 February. The most recent offer is to play either Angola or Serbia in the UAE. “The national team had received earlier offers to play Spain, Portugal or Russia on the same date in Morocco,” read a statement on the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) website. The EFA said the board would meet with the Pharaohs' technical staff, under the leadership of the American manager Bob Bradley, to make their final decision. The winners of seven African Cup of Nations trophies will not play any competitive game until March when they host Zimbabwe in a qualifier for the 2014 World Cup.
