A 'Family Village' project will soon be a reality with the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) signing an agreement with a leading call centre service provider in the region to raise funds. Launched as one of the first initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Family Village aims to provide orphaned children with shelter, education, nutrition and healthcare in a stable family environment at par with Dubai's standards of excellence. The Family Village call centre, which uses latest technology solutions, is starting its operations from today. Offering responses in Arabic and English from 7am to 2.30pm, the call centre can be reached on 04-3662111. In addition to handling all queries on the 'Family Village' project and providing information to donors on the unique humanitarian project in the UAE, the call centre will highlight the multiple ways to contribute to the project. Donations can be directly deposited in the dedicated account for 'Family Village' at Noor Islamic Bank (account number 001-4555555-0013 and IBAN E480520000145555550013) or by visiting the AMAF headquarters in Dubai. Tayeb Abdul Rahman Al Rais, Secretary-General of the AMAF, said : "The launch of the call centre is the first step towards creating a sophisticated and reliable platform to provide information on the Family Village project.
