Egyptian exports to Turkey reached EGP 3.57 billion by the end of June 2012, without recording any increase over the corresponding period last year, by achieving the same volume of exports. Experts said the balance of trade between both countries will witness an increase during the coming period on Morsi's rule. A report issued by the General Authority for Export and Import Control stated that exports amid the first half of 2012 were distributed among several sectors; including the building materials posting EGP 431 million, chemicals and fertilizers EGP 1.72 billion, engineering and electronic goods EGP 110 billion. The report added that readymade clothes posted EGP 206 million, furnishings EGP 37 million, yarn and textiles EGP 655 million, and furniture EGP 21 million, agricultural crops EGP 58 million, medical industries EGP 42 million, and leather products and footwear EGP 23 million.
