Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 16 - 08 - 2016

Minister of International Cooperation, Sahar Nasr and the Indian Ambassador to Cairo,Sanjay Bhattacharyya discussed establishing a distinguished technology center in Al-Azhar University,
The new technology center is within the framework of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed in 2013 under which 500 individuals will be trained annually. In addition, the Indian side will provide all relevant devices and applications and delegate experts.
This is in addition to the successful implementation of the economic and technical annual cooperation program that benefits about 100 trainees from various governmental agencies in several development fields, resulting in positive impacts on the development of human resources.
The two parties also discussed cooperation relations between Egypt and India at developmental level. The Egyptian minister expressed her keenness on enhancing such relations up to the level of the distinguished economic and developmental bilateral relations.
For his part, Mr. Bhattacharyya commended relations between both countries, especially after President al-Sisi's visit to India and his participation at the Third India- Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-III) held in October 2015, which had a significant impact on enhancing bilateral relations as well as African- Indian relations, due to Egypt's pivotal role at such level.
The Minister expressed the Egyptian Government's deep appreciation for the completion of Shubra El-Kheima Rehabilitation Center Renovation Project, which serves as the basis of technical cooperation between the Egyptian and Indian sides in textiles, with regard to which India enjoys competitive advantages. Both sides expressed their wish to render the project pioneer in such field, and the Indian Ambassador invited Dr. Nasr to honor the official inauguration of the project.
