Egyptian Foreign Affairs Minister Sameh Shoukry has attended Tuesday in Algiers a ministerial level meeting of Libya's neighboring countries after reports that the ISIS militant group took over Sirte. The meeting includes ministers from Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, Chad, Niger, as well as representatives from the African Union, the Arab league, the European Union and Libya. "This meeting comes at a critical stage after the worrying developments of ISIS announcing that they took over Sirte," Shoukry told state news agency MENA in Algeria. Shoukry added that there is a consensus among the different Libyan factions to solve the conflict, stabilise the country and unite its lands to get the country out of the crisis. Libya is currently in chaos, with two governments fighting for control while ISIS militants exploit the security gap. Tripoli is controlled by a government not recognised by world powers.
