Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 28 - 07 - 2015

Public relations agency, Media Waves is working with WPP consortium around the clock to make the final preparations, for the launch of the New Suez Canal to tell the world about ‘Egypt's Gift to the World'
The final countdown to opening the New Suez Canal is quickly approaching the finish line with the imminent launch date firmly planned for the 6thof August 2015. The celebrations and global communications campaign is well into its final phase implemented by the international alliance which won the bid to organize the launch campaign. The alliance includes WPP, Memac Ogilvy, Agence Publics and Media Waves Communications.
Founded in 1999 in Egypt by Nagwa Emad the PR and Marketing Communications guru, Media Waves is working closely with Memac Ogilvy and Emeco Travel to manage all aspects of the launch event's media relations, press visits and logistics.
"It is such an honor to be working on such an important project. We work around the clock yet we take pride in each and every detail we do because we feel how important this project is to Egypt, Egyptian people and the World at large, "said Nagwa Emad.
She added: "This project is more than just a launch or an event; it is showing the world what Egyptians are capable of. Most importantly, it's a huge step towards the future for the Egyptian people."
The New Suez Canal is at the heart of a vision to create a Development Zone along the canal. The Suez Canal Development Zone will be home to a broad range of sectors including manufacturing, services, logistics, ship repair, and more. With the Suez Canal positioned as a vital component of world trade, the Suez Canal Zone will provide access to 1.6 billion customers worldwide. The project has the potential to provide Egypt with investment and employment opportunities for years to come.
