Bamboo Loop: Keep Friends & Family in Loop with Wacom's New App
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 01 - 08 - 2013

Launched by Wacom ́s app software group, Bamboo Loop is making mobile messaging highly visual, beautiful and fun
Wacom today announces Bamboo Loop – a new app for iPhone, iPod Touch and Android devices. It combines principles of photo sharing and messaging in a unique and fun way: digital, paper-like photocards are sent ("looped") to friends, family members and close colleagues.
By using Bamboo Loop ‘Wish-you-were-here' messages or birthday greetings for example, become very personal and simple creative artworks. These ‘digital cards' can then be returned by the recipient with a comment, a smiley face or a drawing of their own, so a card can ‘loop' back and forth. Everyone can be creative.
Unlike many apps in which a photo is added separately to a text message, in Bamboo Loop photos take centre stage and can be illustrated and personalised with the built-in editing tools. Sketch, scribble or write on the photo with the finger or a Bamboo Stylus, loop it back to the creator, send it on to someone new or share it with social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Google +.
The basic card within the app is a photograph framed with a white border; very handy for personal messages. A style browser offers a choice of different backgrounds, card shapes, patterns, photo filters, colour palettes and effects, enabling users to easily create cards with a nostalgic, artistic or fun feel. Basic styles are free, with the option to purchase additional styles in-app from the Loop Style Gallery.
Following Bamboo Paper, an app for note taking and sketching on iPad and selected Android smartphones by Samsung, Bamboo Loop is the second app developed by Wacom. Bamboo Paper already counts more than 5 million installations.
Bamboo Loop and Bamboo Paper are available as a free downlaod via iTunes or Google Play.
