EGX closes mixed for 2nd straight day on Jan 4

Egypt's stock market closed mixed for the second consecutive day on Thursday. The main index EGX30 dropped by 0.23 per cent to 25350.28.
The small to mid-size enterprises' index EGX70 climbed 0.25 per cent to 5678.02.
The index EGX100 rose by 0.1 per cent to 8151.
Egypt's market cap recorded 1,746,934,706,175 Egyptian pounds.
The transactions of Arabs and foreigners tended towards buying with 286.7 million pounds and 25.7 million pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, The Egyptian's transactions were mainly selling with 312.4 million pounds.
Trade hit 3.3 billion pounds at the end-of-day, with a total amount of 1 billion securities executed in 126.8 thousand transactions.
The highest-priced stocks on Thursday
The shares of El Arabia for Land Reclamation (EALR.CA) climbed by 13.98 per cent to close at 29.93 pounds a share.
The shares of Al Baraka Bank – Egypt (SAUD.CA) went up by 13.18 per cent to the price of 12.11 pounds per share.
The shares of General Company for Land Reclamation, Development and Reconstruction (AALR.CA) soared by 10.11 per cent to the purchasing price of 51.31 pounds a share.
The shares of Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation (WKOL.CA) rose by 09.41 per cent, to close at 84.26 pounds a share.
The lowest-priced stocks on Thursday
The shares of Delta for Printing and Packaging (DTPP.CA) dropped by 10.61 per cent to close at 37.93 pounds a share.
The shares of Arabian Cement Co (ARCC.CA) went down by 5.34 per cent to 11 pounds a share.
The shares of Arab Aluminum (ALUM.CA) fell by 5.04 per cent to the price of 13.18 pounds a share.
The shares of Taqa Arabia (TAQA.CA) declined by 4.21 per cent to close at the price of 15.49 pounds a share.
