Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBE) is establishing a new office in the new administrative capital with initial cost of 1 billion Egyptian pounds, its Chairperson Mervat Sultan said. Sultan added that the bank has signed a deal with AGC For Contracting to act as the project consultant in cooperation with Armed Forces Engineering Authority. The new office will be situated over 6600 metre square. She told Amwal Al Ghad that EBE capital has recorded about 2.73 billion pounds, while it has increased the authorized capital from 2 billion pounds to 5 billion pounds. In addition, the shareholders equity has registered 5 billion pounds. Sultan also noted that EBE's market share is estimated at about 1 percent in the banking sector, yet its market share of foreign trade registered 7 percent. She added that the volume of the small and medium projects financing portfolio reached 4.4 billion pounds, capturing 19.6 percent of the loans portfolio of 26 billion pounds.
