Light clashes erupted between protesters and police in Tahrir Square after riot police cleared the square of tents set out overnight after Friday's massive protests in the square. According to eyewitnesses, Central Security Forces arrested some of the protesters, the precise number of which could not be determined. State TV reported that there were no injuries following the clashes between protestors and police. But Al-Masry Al-Youm cameraman Abanoub Emad was beaten by plain cloth police officers, who took his camera and deleted the photos. Moreover, State TV quoted security forces as saying that police have managed to clear the entire square of tents and street vendors.
