The Rafah border crossing, between Egypt and Gaza, was reopened on Saturday after the weekend closure. A security source told MENA that a number of people from each side flocked to the crossing and authorities are currently carrying out the required procedures so they can cross. The Rafah crossing was opened on 28 May this year. The number of people who entered Egypt since then through the Rafah crossing has reached 72,111, while those crossing into the Gaza Strip reached 68,221. The total number of people crossing therefore stands at 140,332.
