Pope Shenouda III arrived in Alexandria on Monday following a three-week therapeutic trip to the US. His plane, which left from New York, ran four hours late due to a technical problem. Shenouda underwent heart, liver and kidney check-ups, as well as a check on his left leg. The spiritual leader of Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church had surgery at the Cleveland Clinic to repair a broken leg in 2008. Dozens of Copts received the Pope at the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbasseya, chanting, “Your people love you. You are beloved by millions,” and “Long live the Pope.” Translated from the Arabic Edition
