The Administrative Court handed out a ruling yesterday revoking the decision to consider Moussa Moustafa Moussa president of Al-Ghad [Tomorrow] Party. Moussa's presidency had been declared by the Parties Affairs Committee. Instead, the court order the presidency to be given to Ehab el-Khowli, as mentioned in the party's last notification. El-Khowli held a press conference yesterday following the ruling. After saying the judgment had restored justice, he called on Safwat Sherif, chairman of the Parties Affairs Committee, to implement the ruling like he did with the judgment passed in favor of Moussa two years ago. He also pointed out that the court had proved that Moussa had withdrawn from the litigation, adding this would prevent him from filing any appeal. Moussa Moustafa Moussa told Al-Masry Al-Youm that he would continue to deal with the Parties Affairs Committee as president of al-Ghad Party once he lodged an appeal against the ruling, adding that the Committee would not deal with the other front inside his party. He also added that Al-Ghad newspaper would not be closed as no ruling had been handed down saying that el-Khowli was the party's president. He then affirmed that he would implement no ruling after he lodged the appeal. He then made it clear that he was not fighting against Nour's front, as the cases were against the Committee, pointing out that the latest ruling did not annul the previous ones in his favor. Al-Ghad's Vice-President Marsa el-Sheikh (Nour's front) said Moussa was not a legal expert, adding that State Council's rulings are binding and can be stopped only through a decision of the Supreme Administrative Court. He then affirmed that Moussa was not entitled to lodge an appeal before the Supreme Administrative Court after he had pulled out of the litigation. Nour's wife, Gameela Ismail, did not attend the court session or the press conference. As soon as she learnt about the ruling, she went to Tora prison to inform her husband before his lawyer arrived to visit him. She did not comment on the judgment.
