Raqqa (Syria) - The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported the death of 34 soldiers of the Syrian government forces in an attack carried out by IS terrorist group in Raqqa governorate, Sky News Arabia said on Friday without giving further details. On Thursday, IS announced the death of 100 Syrian soldiers in a major attack against government forces' posts southeast of Raqqa. About 700 civilians, more than a 100 of whom were children, have been killed since the Raqqa offensive began, according to SOHR. The observatory also reported ongoing clashes between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and IS militants in Raqqa, stating that more than 60% of the city is under the SDF's control.
