Cairo - Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, on Tuesday, attended the inking ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian government, UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation (AICS). The protocol aims to enhance the value added of the Egyptian cotton and improve the economic and social performance of farmers. It is also meant to boost the role played by institutions that support the cotton cultivation and industry system in Egypt. Worth 1.5 million euros, the protocol should be implemented in two years. Putting their signatures to the protocol from Egypt were Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil and Dr Abdel Men'em el Banna, the Minister of Agriculture.
