Riyadh – Saudi scholar Abdel Aziz Al-Mousa said on Friday that fatwas (religious edicts) are the most important means used by the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group to gain the support of Arab communities, stressing that such fatwas are prepaid. He reiterated that MB group seeks to serve its underhand interests through all means, including fatwas; and MB spirtual leader and mufti Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi is relevant evidence in this regard. Al-Qaradawi is hosted by Qatar and issues fatwas with an ulterior motive to destabilizing Arab countries to serve the underhand interests of Doha. Such MB fatwas are prepaid since they are issued in exchange for financial support and safe haven for the Brotherhood's fugitives members. Al-Mousa added that there is an urgent necessity to substitute hate speeches with a discourse centered on ideals of harmony and coexistence among all members of society. He called for tightening control over fatwas and mosques to avoid fomenting sedition among members of the one and same society.
