Cairo – Head of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR), expressed on Tuesday his resentment at "impetuous" youngsters, who recently slated the Egyptian army, stressing that the army is a "red line." Mohamed Abdel Naiem told Al-Bawaba News that such youngsters are not aware about the great importance of the army and enormous efforts exerted by soldiers to protect the homeland. Controversy surfaced on Egypt's social media networks on June 26 after the circulation of a video footage, in which the youngsters tasted Eid cookies and expressed their opinion on Egyptian Eid cookie manufacturers, including cookies made by the Egyptian army. Abdel Naiem reiterated that the circulation of this video is politically-driven and backed by terrorist groups that target harming the Egyptian state and cohesion of Egyptians and disturbing people's joy of Eid.
