Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said Egypt faces fatal attack of terrorism, affirming that government is willing to uproot it completely, Albawaba News reported Tuesday. During his speech before the parliament, Ismail said that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi declared state of emergency based on his constitutional powers and national responsibilities. "The latest attacks on Egyptian churches revealed huge funding of terrorist organizations, which may exceed billions, to provide them with modern technology," Ismail said, affirming that such terrorist attacks should be faced with exceptional procedures. PM Ismail gave the statement before the parliament to get the approval of its deputies on the declaration of state of emergency. President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi issued a presidential decree that declared a three-month state of emergency across the nation, following two terrorist attacks against two Egyptian churches in Tanta and Alexandria on Palm Sunday. Despite the decree took effect yesterday at 13:00, the parliament should give approval to president's decision to continue the state of emergency within seven days of declaring. Two thirds of the parliament deputies should agree on the decree, in order to be take effect, according to Egyptian constitution.
