Cairo - The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes went up at the close of Wednesday's trading amid purchase operations by foreign investors, as reported by MENA. The market capital gained about EGP 2.9 billion to reach EGP 655.2 billion after transactions hit EGP 761.8 million. The EGX 30 benchmark index increased by 0.04 per cent to close at 12,987.65 points. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) rose by 0.97 per cent to stand at 565.34 points. The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also up by 1.04 percent to record 1,320.01 points.
