Expatriate Egyptian in Canada promotes Egyptians', Arabs' and Muslims' inventions around the world
Published in Albawaba on 22 - 02 - 2017

Cairo - The Egyptian expatriate scientist, Dr. ‘Hatem Zaghloul, the head of the Islamic community in Calgary, Canada, and the patent owner of an invention which founded the technique of "Wi-Fi", who is currently present in Cairo, confirmed that the Egyptian education was the basis of his inner love to science with a serious manner. In response to this favor and for his belief in the role of the Egyptian youth in making future, the community head established a firm to apply and to market their innovations and he stressed his communication with them, especially with students, through scientific symposiums and meetings in which he is interested in talking. The last scientific meeting was hosted at the grand ballroom at the faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.
Today, ‘Zaghloul' pointed that in March, as there will be the 25th anniversary of the appearance of the "Wi-Fi" technique, the company will take over the task of promoting the inventions of Egyptians, Arabs and Muslims in general around the world and that the company has seven new techniques and yesterday, it presented two techniques only for production and marketing and currently, those two inventions are under discussion and study.
He directed an advice to the Egyptian Youth who desire to immigrate abroad that they should be successful in what they do in Egypt so that they could develop their success abroad and he stressed that, in general, they should like what they do because they will excel in and will be good at what they like to do.
He said the transformation of patents into commercial products for the benefit of the world, is a three-dimensional system that starts with "the graduate" who is qualified to work as an inventor, the financing and the good research environment, pointing that what is missing in Egypt in this respect is the advanced technology which is measured by the time between the idea and the application, which does not exceed six hours in the United States and four or five hours only in Japan, from "dream to implementation".
He added that when talking about developing the education system in Egypt, it must be emphasized that the development process starts from home and from rearing the young on love for education, not only by caring for numbers and estimations, wondering about the top students of the general secondary certificate, where are they from the scientists, stressing that society is in need for intellectual change through the media, the drama and the movies and the hero should be a model for the children and the young men who aspire to become like him.
Dr. ‘Hatem Zaghloul' added that in Egypt, the portion of the individual from the internet technology, as a consumer, is little and it is usually measured by the megabytes which enter into the country and the individual portion from it due to the large census of Egypt and that makes it in need for more megabytes noting that as there are DSL and USB, this internet technology should be spread around Egypt and that in Europe there are two techniques which have not been used in Egypt yet, they are the use of the satellite and the connection of an internet cable to the television set.
He explained that the internet is not the "Facebook", the default social life only, but it has become a complete life all over the world, including marketing, shopping, banking transactions, and all the requirements of the economic life for communities.
In the end of speech, Dr. ‘Haten Zaghloul' mentioned that he and his Egyptian colleague, Dr. ‘Michel Fattoush', the anonymous soldier who invented the technique which led to the birth of the new "Wi-Fi" technique which is beneficial for millions of human beings around the world causing a boom and a unprecedented technological revolution in the world as it was the basis on which a lot of techniques and other technological services are built.
He pointed out that he registered his invention in the office of "inventions patented in the United States," as it was one of the fastest inventions that have been approved after one year and two months only in March 1992, it is currently the most efficient communication system in the world and the passage of a quarter of a century on it.
