Cairo - Islamophobia monitor said British Muslims are being negatively privileged in the employment sector in Britain. The report issued by the watchdog group, affiliated with al-Azhar; the most prominent Sunni religious institute, called on British universities to play more significant role in ending such discrimination . According to a recent report, there are 2.7 million Muslims facing the large percentage of discrimination when applying for jobs, and they usually get less salary than other British citizens. Another study by the British government published in December 2016showed that Muslim women from Bangladesh and Pakistan are facing remarkable discrimination in job places and are discriminated heavily regarding administrative positions. This study found that absence of British government involvement in providing equal chances to non-white people leads to more discrimination .
