Paris - Egypt's Foreign Minister 'Sameh Shoukry' and the Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy Johannes Hahn held talks in Paris where they took up enhancing cooperation programs between Egypt and the European Union (EU) within the framework of the projects funded by the EU in Egypt during the coming phase, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zaid. The meeting was held on the sidelines of Shoukry's participation in Paris peace conference on Sunday. The two sides discussed also illegal migration, its impact on Egypt and Europe as well as bilateral cooperation agreements in this field. Shoukry posted Hahn about efforts exerted by Egypt to help the Libyan parties to settle disputes and implement the Skhirat agreement. He also briefed Hahn about the Egyptian vision to help the Palestinian and Israeli sides resume negotiations. Hahn suggested sending a technical delegation to Egypt during the coming phase for consultations with the Egyptian side over details of joint cooperation ventures and the EU aid to Egypt, Abu Zaid said.
