Adviser to minister of finance for tax affairs, Ramadan Sedek said Saturday that there is still an opportunity to make some amendments to Value Added Tax (VAT) draft law, even though parliament is currently discussing it. Sedek pointed out during a conference organized by Alexandria businessmen association, that everyone now realizes the importance of cooperation in order to produce a legislation which serves the best interest of the country, Al Bawaba News reported. He stressed that there is no reason for the government, represented by the ministry of finance not to adopt a decent proposal to repair any legislative defect and present it to plan and budget parliamentarian committee to review it. Also, he acknowledged that a perfect law does not exist, adding that every law has its positive and negative aspects.
