Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry met Friday with his Norwegian and British counterparts, on sidelines of international coalition against Islamic State (IS) ministerial meeting in Washington. The ministry issued a press release, saying that Shoukry discussed the counter-terrorism efforts made by the international coalition against IS, during his meetings with both ministers, Al Bawaba News reported. Shoukry congratulated UK Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson for assuming his new post and discussed the overall bilateral relations between both countries, during the meeting. The meeting also dealt with the latest security developments in Libya and Syria. While, the meeting with Norway's Foreign Minister, Borg Brand tackled the Palestinian issue, including the regional and international efforts to promote the peace process. The Norwegian minister listened to the assessment of Shoukry on the results of his last two visits to Ramallah and Israel, as well as the efforts carried out by Egypt in order to encourage the conflicting parties to resume negotiations. Also, the meeting discussed the latest security situation in Libya and Syria, including the efforts made to resume the Syrian peace talks.
