Deputy Minister of Finance, Mohamed Moeat announced Monday that Egypt's budget deficit reached EGP 319 billion, Al-Bawaba News reported. Moeat said that the parliament has the right to approve or disapprove Egypt's budget, adding that it is not possible that the parliament imposes extra expenses, which are not covered by revenues. He expected that the state's budget will be approved by the parliament, pointing out that if the parliament did not approve the budget before July 1, the ministry will work by the 2015/2016 budget until approving the new budget.
