Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry said Wednesday the case of Giulio Regeni had constructed a presumptive Italian public opinion that gets ahead of investigations. Shoukry added his country sought to further cooperate with the Italian investigators to find the truth behind the PhD researcher's murder. Meanwhile, Cambridge University denied the accusations of Italian officials that it is not cooperating with the Italian investigations on the murder of Regeni.
