Egypt is scheduled to purchase Kamov Ka-52 helicopters for its new Mistral-class carrier from Russia, said a Egyptian Commander in Chief of the Navy Osama Rabie on Friday. He added, in a statement to Youm7, that Egypt will negotiate a contract to buy helicopters for the newly-received first Mistral-class carrier. Both countries are working on procedures for the contract that will be signed soon, Rabie added during his visit to the French Mediterranean submarine base of Ablain-Saint Nazaire where an Egyptian delegation received the first mistral warship.
