President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi pointed out to the incident of stripping a woman in Upper Egypt in a speech on Monday, insisting that such incident offends all of Egypt, not only women, Youm7 News reported. "I hope that Egyptian woman accepts our apology," al-Sisi said Monday during the inauguration ceremonies of Asmarat housing project in Mokkatam district in Cairo, asserting that assaulters of the woman will be crucially punished. "We all have equal rights, and do the same duties. When I said Egyptian women are great, I meant it," the President added in his speech. A Coptic woman in Minya governorate, Upper Egypt, was dramatically stripped by number of men in the neighborhood, following allegations of a relationship between her son and a Muslim woman.
