The 47th regular session of the Arab Information Ministers Council will start on May 25, at the Arab League headquarters, in Cairo, Al-Bawaba News reported. The session will discuss a number of issues concerning the Arab media including mechanisms of its development, strategy and vision, following up on the media Arab aboard, the Palestinian issue and the role of the Arab media in dealing with terrorism. The meeting will also examine the importance of activating the role of the electronic media in dealing with terrorism, through establishing a joint operations room to confront the sites that publish destructive thought and calls for extremism, during which the participants after requested, will present short films to combat the terrorism by broadcasting the films on the states sites. The ministers will celebrate "Arab Media Day" on the sidelines in recognition of the role of journalists and the media in the Arab community in addressing the challenges they faced and to encourage communication between the foreign and Arab media and to keep abreast of information technology. The session will also witness an awarding ceremony, where a number of media winners will be honored with of the first places in the forms of the arts of journalism.
