Egypt's Attorney General Nabil Sadeq ordered referring 67 defendants linked to the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood (MB) to the criminal court over the assassination of late Attorney General Hesham Barakat, Al-Bawaba News reported. Sadeq revealed the conclusion of investigations staged by High State Security Prosecution disclosing defendants' links with Palestinian Hamas organization with some fugitive MB senior figures to target a number of state sovereign officials that aimed to incite chaos and destabilizing national security. "The defendants led, joined, participated and supplied MB with detailed schemes and explosives used exposing the national stability to wide dangers," AG's statement read. Defendants are facing accusations of deliberated and attempted murder, cooperation with Palestine's banned Hamas over scheming and training individuals on terror acts in addition to manufacturing and possession of arms aimed to target state figures.
