The outlawed Muslim Brotherhood (MB)'s supporters demonstrated Saturday without prior permit from Egyptian authorities in Sharqia governorate to protest against the handover of Tiran and Sanafir islands to Saudi Arabia, Al Bawaba News reported. During the protest, MB supporters chanted slogans against President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, as well as demanding the release of ousted President Mohamed Morsi. Unlicensed demonstrations are criminalized in Egypt according to the Protest Law, issued by interim authorities following the ouster of MB rule in July 2013.
