The outlawed Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group's supporters demonstrated Friday without prior permit from Egyptian authorities in Sharqia governorate to demand the release of ousted President Mohamed Morsi, Al Bawaba News reported. During the protest, MB supporters chanted slogans against the army and police, as well as raising Morsi's photos and Rabaa sign banners. Unlicensed demonstrations are criminalized in Egypt according to the Protest Law, issued by interim authorities following the ouster of MB rule in July 2013.
