Egypt's security forces succeeded to identify the commander Wilayat Sina terrorist group new leader in North Sinai's Arish city, Al-Bawaba News reported Saturday. The security authorities announced that Mohamed Ahmeed Zyada is the newly appointed Wilayat Sinai in Arish commander due to his experience in manufacturing improvised explosive devices, as well as his seniority in the group. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army and police have been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against Wilayat Sinai, formerly known as Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis, after it had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel. In 2014, the group announced its allegiance to Islamic State jihadist group.
