Sisi's First Speech to Parliament

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has addressed on Saturday the nation's House of Representatives for the first time since he took the office in 2014, al-Bawaba news reported on Saturday.
Al-Sisi met with heads of parliament's commissions, before he issued the presidential decree to hold the first official session of the parliament.
The president's speech tackled all the nation's issues and files.
Transparent Elections
President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi praised Saturday in his speech to parliament, parliamentary elections, describing it as transparent, Youm7 News reported.
Al Sisi explained that the world witnessed the integrity of the elections, which were held in a secure environment thanks to security forces' efforts.
He stressed that the results of the elections express the will of the Egyptian people.
He pointed out that the Egyptians were able to continue the last step in the June 30 revolution's road-map by conducting successful parliamentary elections, despite the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist group's attempt to hijack the revolution.
National Projects
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi stressed on the necessity and the importance of the youth role in building the Egyptian state, pointing out that he used his power as president to enhance their role.
During his speech before the nation's House of Representatives, al-Sisi said he issued presidential pardon for hundreds of imprisoned youth, and launched a national dialogue with different spectrum of youth, in order to discuss their demands and vision of the future.
Al-Sisi pointed out to the development of youth centers and sports club to absorb the energy of youth.
Nuclear Plant
President Abdel Fattah Sisi said Saturday in his speech to Parliament that government started implementing five thousand kilometers of roads and nearing completion of civilian airports and sea ports, as well as developing electric power grid.
Sisi pointed out that El Dabaa nuclear plant deal was signed and will take effect within weeks, in addition to the work in Suez Canal projects, which returned hope to Egyptians, Youm7 News reported.
He also noted that he gave instructions to governors to appoint assistants and advisors from the young people, pointing to the importance of engaging the young people in the decision making process.
Successful Diplomacy
Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has praised his country's diplomatic relations that rebuilt powerful ties with the whole world.
Sisi said Egypt's relations have been built on the principles of mutual respect.
Through its successful diplomatic relations, Egypt managed to get a non-permanent UN Security Council seat and a seat in the African Union Security and Peace Council, Sisi said.
The president added these relations must be used to achieve peace in Syria and to accomplish comprehensive peace in Palestine.
Anti-Terrorism Efforts
President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi said Saturday during his speech to Parliament that Egyptian security forces succeeded in reducing threat of terrorism.
Al Sisi pointed out to the sacrifices made by both the armed forces and policemen in order to ensure the safety of the Egyptian citizens.
He stressed that Egypt with the support of its citizens will be able to overcome the threat of terrorism and eradicate it.
President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi said Saturday in his speech to parliament that Egypt has a close relationship with countries of the world, Youm7 News reported.
Al Sisi stressed that Egypt seeks to move forward in friendship and openness to the world, in order to confirm global peace.
He explained that Egypt's message to the world is peace and love, confirming on the importance of resolving the Syrian, Libyan, Yemeni and Palestinian crises, of which Egypt works towards solving them.
Furthermore, he renewed Egypt's call for the world to cooperate in counter terrorism measures, urging such cooperation to be at the highest level of coordination and taking into account the social and intellectual dimensions.
Strong Women Representation
Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has hailed during his Saturday speech to the parliament the roles played by Egyptian women to push the country forward.
Sisi said the Egyptian women have always been "a source of safety for the nation", praising the increasing number of women in the parliament.
He also hailed MPs with special needs, adding he "feels satisfied with their honorable representation within the parliament".
Strict Security Measures
Security forces imposed strict security measures in the surrounding area of the parliament, in preparation for the president's visit.
