Minister of Defense, Sedki Sobhi and Minister of Interior, Magdy Abdel Ghaffar visited Friday the armed forces and the police soldiers stationed in North Sinai to check the governorate's security situation and efforts to secure the citizens, Al-Bawaba News reported. During the visit, Sobhi praised army and police efforts in securing and protecting citizens, as well as praising the army and police personnel who lost their lives defending the country against terrorist groups. The minister pointed out that the people of Sinai are Egypt's national security first defensive line, adding that their cooperation with the armed forces and police restored the governorate's security and stability. He added that the upcoming period will witness a number of developmental projects that aim to provide job opportunities for the people of Sinai. Sobhi and Abdel Ghaffar honored a number of officers and soldiers for their efforts in achieving several security successes in the ongoing fight against terrorism in Sinai.
