Egypt's Minister of Culture Helmi Al-Namnm will attend the 42nd Egyptian Cinema Film Association Festival's closing ceremony scheduled to be held at Renaissance Cinema, downtown Cairo, Al-Bawaba News reported Wednesday. Al-Namnm will be accompanied Chairman of the Union of Professional syndicates, Omar Abdel Aziz, and head of the filmmakers' syndicate Mossad Fouda, Al-Bawaba news reported Wednesday. Bab El Wadaa (Gate of Departure) won eight awards for Best Film, Best Soundtrack, Best Director, Best Poster, Best Cinematography, and Best Sound. There were eight other films nominated for the same categories, including Aswar El-Amar (Moon's Walls), Bi-Tawqeet al-Qahira (Cairo Time), Ott we Far (Cat and Rat), Khareg El Khedma (Out of Order), Welad Rizk (Rizk's Sons), Al-Geel Al-Rabea (The Fourth Generation), Sokar-Mor (Bitter Sugar), and Kodrat Gheir Aadeiya (Extraordinary Abilities).
