Security forces arrested a Muslim Brotherhood (MB) member in Damietta Province, northeastern Cairo, over violence-related accusations, Al-Bawaba News reported Monday. The suspect faces charges of inciting violence, belonging to a terrorist group and demonstrating without security authorities' permission. The security authorities referred the defendant to the prosecution for investigations ahead of referring him to trial. The MB group has been designated as terrorist by interim authorities following the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi, July 2013, amid mass street protests.
