North Cairo Criminal Court will resume Sunday, the retrial of 13 defendants accused of killing Gen. Nabil Farag, Al-Bawaba news reported. The court has overturned various terms, between death and life sentences, against the convicts, over accusations of murdering with premeditation the Assistant Security Directorate, attempting to kill other officers, possessing unlicensed weapons and communication devices, joining an illegal group, assaulting citizens, disturbing public peace, resisting authorities and committing terrorist acts. Gen. Farag was killed during the crackdown against elements of the Muslim Brotherhood in Kerdasa.
