Al-Azhar expressed Friday its strong condemnation of the terrorist attack targeted Shiite Al-Ridha mosque in Mahasin district, Saudi Arabia, which left four dead and 18 others injured, according to the Saudi interior ministry. The Egyptian Islamic institution denounced the heinous attack that violates the sanctity of the houses of worship, praying to God to bless the victims' souls and wishing the injured speedy recovery. A suicide bomber blew himself up and another attacker opened fire outside the Shiite mosque in Al-Ahsa governorate, where worshipers were performing the Friday prayers. The gunman was arrested and found wearing explosive vest, according to CNN.
