Four Egyptian judges were killed and at least 14 others injured in the blast that targeted the "Swiss Inn" hotel housing the election judges in Al-Arish, Al-Bawaba News reported Tuesday. The injured were immediately transferred to the hospital due to their critical condition. The Security forces closed the entrances and exits leading to the site of the explosion. Security sources revealed that a handmade bomb exploded inside the hotel at the same time when a car bomb was detonated at the entrance of the hotel. The second explosion killed at least two policemen guarding the hotel and other civilians were injured. The suicide bomber tried to drive his car bomb into the hotel before security forces opened fire on him, causing the car to explode, security sources said.
