Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry headed Saturday for South Korea in a one-week Asian tour that also includes Japan to discuss boosting political and economic cooperation between Egypt and the two countries, Youm7 News reported. Ministry's spokesperson, Ahmed Abu Zeid said Shoukry would meet during his visit to Seoul with a number of economic institutions officials from the Federation of Korean Industries, the Korean Federation for international trade and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency. Abu Zeid added the minister would also meet in South Korea with the President of the Import and Export Bank of Korea, Hyundai Engineering and Construction head and the head of Samsung Electronics. Shoukry will meet with his Korean counterpart and Chairman of the Korean Parliament Foreign Relations Committee, the spokesperson added. During Shoukry's visit to Japan, Abu Zeid noted that the minister will hold a number of meetings with his Japan's Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Japanese International Cooperation Agency and Japan Bank for International Cooperation officials.
