Egypt's Minister of Defense and Military Production, Sedky Sobhy met with U.S. Secretary of Air Force, Deborah Lee James to discuss the regional developments and its impact on the security and stability of Middle East, Al-Bawaba News reported Saturday. The two officials also discussed issues of common interest between the two countries. Sobhy stressed the deep roots of the Egyptian-American military relations, which extends across decades of mutual cooperation in many fields, pointing out that Egypt seeks to strengthen and develop these relations to serve the common interests of the two friendly peoples and countries. Sobhy also met with a high-level delegation from the Kenyan parliament for defense and security matters. They discussed the current developments on the African arena, and the joint efforts to support the security and stability in the African continent.
