Numbers of Egyptians, carrying flowers, gathered near the Russian embassy in Cairo to express their condolences for the Russian people over a plane crash leaving 224 killed in central Sinai, Al-Youm 7 reported Sunday. The participants stated that their initiative came in solidarity with the Russian people mourning their victims. They affirmed that relationship between both countries were historical and friendly. Medical teams from Cairo and Al-Arish have been deployed to the scene, in addition to vehicles loaded with medications, food supplies and tents. A northern Sinai medical official confirmed 173 bodies were extracted out of the plane wreckage, so far.
