Egypt's PM Sherif Ismael will meet Saturday with a number of ministers and officials to follow up the latest developments on the civilian plane crash in the Sinai Peninsula, spokesperson for the Egyptian cabinet, Hossam Gaweesh said. Ismael has cancelled an official visit to the eastern province of Ismailia following media reports on the crash. He has also ordered an operation room to be formed to follow up the repercussions of the accident. Media outlets quoted security circles Saturday morning as saying that a Russian civilian airplane crashed in the Sinai with 212 passengers on board with no official reports whether there were survivors. Security forces are currently searching for the wreckage, officials said. Medical sources said emergency state was raised in all the peninsula's hospitals.
