Houthi militia murder women, kids 'hysterically'
Published in Albawaba on 26 - 10 - 2015

Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has stressed that the city of Taiz and all other Yemeni governorates and cities will be liberated soon from the rebel Houthi militia and forces loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh, which, Hadi said, has been 'hysterically' murdering women and children and destroying schools, mosques and residential areas in Taiz City using medium and heavy weapons.
President Hadi said the current situation requires national solidarity and responsibility from all parties while looking towards the future that people across Yemen, from the governorate of Saada to the governorate of Al Mahra, are waiting for.
In a telephone call with Brigadier Sadeq Sarhan, Commander of the government's 22th Armoured Brigade and Chairman of the Military Council in Taiz, the Yemeni president also stressed that full support is being provided to the country's national army and popular resistance forces in Taiz to make more victories and liberate the whole city from the Houthi militia and partners.
Praising the heroism of the pro-government forces ensuring stability and security in the country, President Hadi urged the residents of Taiz to cooperate with the government forces to counter the rebel and 'blood thirsty' militias undermining security and stability and killing innocent people to impose a foreign political agenda that Yemeni society categorically rejects.
For his part, Brigadier Sarhan, stressed that the government military and popular resistance forces will be 'as steadfast as mountains' to continue to conduct offensives against the rebels until Taiz City is liberated.
He noted that these militias has gone too far killing unarmed civilians, destroying houses and hospitals and turning government departments to military barracks for snipers killing civilians.
The military commander also noted that President Hadi is in continuous contact with military commanders to follow up operations following the liberation of the governorates of Aden, Dhale, Shabwa and Marib from the rebel militia.
Brigadier Sarhan further stressed that Taiz will be liberated thanks to the efforts being made by political leaders and residents of Taiz who are united in the face of what he described as 'criminal gang'.
