President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met Friday with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s Chief, Yukiya Amano in New York, Al Bawaba News reported. During the meeting, Sisi stressed on Egypt's efforts to make the Middle East a nuclear weapons free zone, adding that Egypt's will build a nuclear plant in Dabaa to generate electricity, in accordance with the international standards for security and nuclear safety. Sisi pointed out that Egypt wants to cooperate with the Agency in expertise and programs, emphasizing the importance of the nuclear energy for peaceful uses in achieving economic and social development. Amano expressed his keenness to provide all forms of technical support to Egypt in its nuclear project in order to generate electricity during the coming period.
